About the Working Group
This Working Group offers all pellet stakeholders a platform to meet and discuss common issues and concerns regarding the development of the EU pellet market, as well as identify and propose actions to overcome current barriers.
Discussions will focus on providing market updates on most recent but also future sector trends, as well as showing Bioenergy Europe’s response to current reputation issues. The topics include:
- Greening domestic heating
- Technology and market updates
- Air quality
- Energy efficiency and energy labelling

Meet the chairman
The Working Group Pellets is chaired by Mikkel W. Roslundh, Head of Market Intelligence and Analytics in CM Biomass Partners
Mikkel leads the market intelligence team in CM Biomass, one of the largest independent trader and producer of biomass in the world. Mikkel helped built up the department and analytics from scratch. As the lead of market intelligence Mikkel is responsible for analysis of various biomass markets and the broader energy commodity markets, such as the European power market. The intelligence team’s primary focus is collecting and analyze data from a range of sources, including market research reports, industry reports, internal data, weather reports, and identifying the impact on the wood pellet market. The team also track and analyze physical trade flow within biomass and other energy commodities.
