WERN – Wood Energy Regions Network

We are pleased to share the invitation for the launch of WERN, on 9 September 2026 in Brussels.

Several European regions are currently working together to establish the Wood Energy Regions Network (WERN), a new platform designed to strengthen collaboration, exchange best practices, and promote the contribution of wood energy to Europe’s energy transition.

Bavaria is among the founding regions and will officially announce the initiative during a dedicated event at the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the European Union in Brussels.
