International Training Seminar Sustainable Bioenergy Heating

The geopolitical situation, high fossil fuel prices, and energy security risks show the urgent need to increase domestic and renewable energy sources. As a CO₂-neutral fuel, sustainable bioenergy is a key component in decarbonising and securing our energy supply. Market transformation towards modern, efficient and low-emission bioheat systems offers significant opportunities for affordable and local energy supply as well as climate and environment protection.

In the event, we show how sustainable and user-friendly bioenergy solutions can play an important role in the local energy transition. The seminar focuses on small- to mid-scale projects fuelled by wood pellets and wood chips. The seminar was already held nine times in the past years.

What does the training seminar offer?

·    Interactive training in an international group

·    3 densely-filled days with information and know-how on the technologies, economics and marketing of bioheat!

·    Practical, hands-on time with experts and educational site-visits – learn from the best in the field!

·    A programme fully focused on small- to mid-scale wood pellet and wood chip projects

Target groups: Representatives of businesses, public bodies, institutions, Energy Agencies, NGOs etc. interested in developing bioheat markets. It is particularly aimed at people from countries where the market for automatic bioenergy heating is still in an early phase.

Dates: 14 – 17 September 2026 (Start: 14 September, 17.00; End: 17 September after dinner)

Language: The training seminar will be held in English.

Fees: 960 Euro (plus 10 % VAT)  |  Fees include the training sessions and documentation, site visits and meals/coffee breaks.

Through a collaboration with the Prospect project, representatives of the public sector (local and regional authorities and Energy Agencies from EU-27) can apply for free participation and additional support for travel and accommodation up to 500 Euros (limited number of places).
