Biomass and alternative fuels in heating sector

Biomass remains the leading renewable energy source in the European Union, and its role in Poland’s heating sector continues to grow. The 7th Biomass and Alternative Fuels in District Heating Conference will take place on 9–10 October in Janów Podlaski, bringing together experts and decision-makers from heating companies, energy providers, the waste sector, biomass producers, and technology suppliers.

The event will focus on who is investing in biomass and alternative fuels, current projects in Poland, funding opportunities for energy transition, and strategies to improve the efficiency of heating companies. Key topics include the role of biomass in Poland’s 2030–2040 energy strategy, the use of biomass and waste-derived fuels, emerging market trends, and financial programs for modernizing heating systems.
