Bioenergy Europe’s 2023 Pellets Report gathers data from the members of the European Pellet Council in order to describe the current state of the pellet market . The report explores different aspects of the market, such as production, consumption, prices, imports, exports, sales of heating appliances, etc.

This report provides data directly from Bioenergy Europe’s national contributors. It is an indispensable tool to address the current crisis and continue the development of the pellet market – as one of the key solutions to decarbonising energy production for homes, businesses and industries worldwide.

Landscape Report

Bioenergy Europe’s 2023 Landscape Statistical Report highlights the crucial role of bioenergy in the EU’s renewable landscape. While renewables show resilience, imported fossil fuels remain a concern, posing risks to energy security. Biomass leads as a sustainable alternative, with 10.2% of EU energy consumption. The report advocates for bioenergy in reaching the revised 42.5% renewable energy target for 2030.

Biomass Supply

Bioenergy Europe 2023 Statistical Report Biomass Supply and presents the state of play of forest management and biomass feedstock in the European Union. European forests continue to grow while almost 15% of total EU land use is unused and/or abandoned.

Bioelectricity
