Sawdust
Sawdust is the fine, powdery residue produced when wood is cut, milled, or processed. It consists of small wood particles and is commonly generated in activities such as sawing, sanding, and drilling in the woodworking and timber industries.
Sawdust has excellent fuel properties, but has very low density and it is difficult to handle after its generation. Therefore, it is most typically used after an upgrading step, in which sawdust is dried and pressed into pellets or briquettes.
