Residues
Residues refer to the by-products or leftover materials that remain after the primary processing or harvesting of agricultural, forestry, or industrial activities.
Residues include materials such as crop residues (e.g., straw, corn stover), forestry residues (e.g., branches, bark), and industrial residues (e.g., sawdust, olive cake).
These materials can be repurposed as valuable feedstocks for the production of biofuels, biogas, or heat and power.
