« Back to Glossary Index

A boiler is a device that converts the chemical energy stored in fuels into thermal energy by burning the fuel to produce hot water or steam. This steam or hot water is then used for heating, electricity generation, or industrial processes. Biomass boilers are designed to handle the specific characteristics of biomass fuels, such as moisture and ash content, particle size, etc. and are often equipped with advanced control systems to optimize combustion efficiency and minimize emissions.
