« Back to Glossary Index

Agglomeration refers to the technique of combining fine biomass particles, such as sawdust, straw, or agricultural residues, into larger, cohesive structures like pellets or briquettes.

This process enhances the material’s physical properties, such as density and stability, making it easier to handle, store, and transport. While commonly applied to biomass, agglomeration can also be used for other particulate materials, to improve their functionality and efficiency in various applications.
