Working Group Sustainability and Biopower & CHP (online)

 

Bioenergy Europe believes that sustainability is a key factor in the development of the bioenergy sector in Europe. Through Working Group Sustainability, Bioenergy Europe has formulated inclusive positions advocating in favour of a harmonised EU sustainability policy for solid biomass for heating and electricity production. After the publication of the Fit for 55 Package, revising the EU climate and legislative framework the Working Group Sustainability and Biopower & CHP will jointly meet to discuss the way forward.

More specifically, discussions will include:

  • State of implementation of REDII Directive
  • New sustainability Criteria in REDIII, Bioenergy Europe's Position
  • Possible impact of REDIII provisions on power on installations
  • LULUCF
  • Sustainable Finance Taxonomy

The Working Group is for Bioenergy Europe members, however, observers are welcome at the discretion of Bioenergy Europe. If you wish to participate as an observer please contact the Bioenergy Europe team
