Back to Event OverviewIn this second meeting of 2020, we will present more data on one of the sector's biggest challenge - bark beetle.
It is one of the worst problems in terms of damaged wood mass in addition to the difficulty combating the issue (mainly due to lack of up to date and accurate information on its impact).
Topic: Bringing transparency to the market: wood chip consumption and supply disruption caused by bark beetle.
Key topics include:
+ Data on impact caused by bark beetle;
+ National policies to minimise the consequences;
+ EU current measures in place to tackle the climate change effect on EU forests;
+ Data update on wood chips market;Please note this WG is for Bioenergy Europe members, however, observers are welcome at the discretion of Bioenergy Europe. If you wish to participate as an observer please contact the Bioenergy Europe team.
